Developments Regarding the July Pay Increase

The latest developments regarding the July 2023 pay increase and its dimensions affecting cultural workers.
We are sharing with our members the latest developments regarding the July 2023 pay increase:
1. The government announced the July pay increase for civil servants. The announced rates remain insufficient in real terms against inflation.
2. Contracted artists and 4B personnel are unable to benefit from the pay increase at the same level as permanently employed staff. This inequality must be remedied, and all workers must be granted equal rights to the increase.
3. As a union, we emphasize that the pay increase rates announced by the government are inadequate, fall below the rate of inflation, and further deepen the financial hardship of cultural workers. Our struggle for a fairer wage policy will continue.
