Kültür Emek-Sen
Our History
Kültür Emek-Sen — Cultural Workers' Union, founded on 2 January 2019
Born as an independent trade union movement — unaffiliated with any confederation — to fight for, protect, and advance the economic, democratic, social, political, cultural, professional, and personal legal rights of all workers in every sphere of life.
Our Core Principles
- —Kültür Emek-Sen operates on the principle of fully independent democratic class unionism.
- —It advocates for factual and legitimate struggle.
- —It is not affiliated with any confederation.
- —Obtaining authority in its sector is sufficient for collective bargaining.
- —Members' direct right to vote and stand for election is enshrined in the statute — representation, voice, and authority without delegates.
- —It is a union that fights against political discrimination, othering, and alienation, leaving no room for them.
- —It approaches members' personal, financial, democratic, and social problems with a solution focus and continues the struggle until resolved.
- —It has taken on the mission of resolving members' legal, institutional, and merit-based problems face to face.
- —It works for a secular, democratic, social, contemporary Turkey governed by the rule of law.
