ACTIVITY REPORT Subject: Istanbul Artist Organising and Outreach Activities Date: 23–24 October 2025 Venue: Istanbul AKM

1. Purpose of the Activity Our union organised a series of organising and outreach meetings in Istanbul on 23–24 October 2025, targeting artists who are current and potential members. The purpose of these activities was to establish direct contact with artists, provide information about union work, and strengthen our organising network.

2. Meetings Held On the designated dates, a total of three main meetings were held with different groups of artists:

Meeting 1: Istanbul Symphony Orchestra Participants: Artists of the Istanbul Symphony Orchestra Venue and Time: 23 October, 12:50 — held during a break in the orchestra's concert rehearsal, in the rehearsal hall. Content: Orchestra members were informed about the union's current activities and objectives, and their questions were answered.

Meeting 2: Female Soloists Participants: Female soloists participating in a choir rehearsal Venue and Time: 23 October, 15:00 — held immediately before the relevant choir rehearsal. Content: A discussion was held focusing specifically on the professional issues and union-related expectations of female soloists.

Meeting 3: Choir and Male Soloists Participants: Another choir group that also included male soloists Venue and Time: 24 October, 11:00 — held prior to the group's rehearsal. Content: A meeting was organised with choir artists and soloists on general union matters, the importance of organising, and future planning.

3. Conclusion and Assessment This series of meetings held in Istanbul enabled direct and productive communication with artists from various disciplines. Without disrupting the artists' rehearsals and work, break periods were used effectively, and union outreach and organising activities were carried out successfully.
