International Working Women's Day
On 8 March International Working Women's Day, the struggle and demands of women who work in culture and the arts.
Today is 8 March — International Working Women's Day. We salute the struggle waged by women workers in our country and around the world to win their rights, dignity, and freedom.
Women who labour in the fields of culture and art take on significant roles — as performing artists, musicians, dancers, and technical and administrative personnel. Yet women workers are compelled to contend both with the inequalities present in general working conditions and with problems specific to the sector.
As Kültür Emekçileri Sendikası, we will continue to defend the rights of women workers in the culture and arts sector and to fight for equal pay and equal conditions.
Happy 8 March to all women workers.
