Dear culture and art workers, our comrades in struggle;

As Kültür Emek-Sen, on this honourable road we set out on under the banner of "fully independent and democratic class unionism", we draw our greatest strength from your matchless solidarity. Protecting the rights of you, the valued workers who enlighten society and give life to culture and art — from theatre stages to film sets, from orchestra pits to archive rooms — is our most fundamental reason for being.

With our unshakeable belief that the future can only be built through our common labour, we continue together with you, heart and soul, to defend labour in all art institutions, libraries and museums across the country.

Without bowing to any injustice, to any disregard of merit or to double standards in the arts, we are determined to walk shoulder to shoulder to receive the true worth of our labour and to create a secure working environment. We know that the light of the stages, the wisdom of the libraries and the historical memory of the museums can survive only if culture workers receive the value they deserve.

To defend our rights and make our voice heard more strongly, we invite all culture and art workers to grow this just struggle. Both art and the future will be built by us — by those who labour!
